News from new ABTEM Member the Underfall Yard Trust who are looking to appoint a Boatyard Manager:
The Underfall Yard Trust wishes to appoint a part-time (4 days pw, Monday to Thursday) Boatyard Manager to run an important historic boatyard on Bristol’s harbourside.
With a busy slipway, nearly twenty units rented by maritime and traditional-skills based businesses, and a visitor centre and café opening in March 2016, these are exciting times for the Underfall Yard. Thanks to a Heritage Lottery Fund grant of nearly £3 million, we will be sharing the past and present with 100,000 visitors a year – but equally important is the Yard’s future as a growing boatyard with superb services for the maritime community.
We need an energetic, enthusiastic Boatyard Manager who will respond to the challenges of this important site, working with tenants, colleagues, volunteers and visitors to ensure that this award-winning boatyard business continues to develop.
